(find out more here). La Palma Sagrada began in Brooklyn, New York, in the summer of 2017. The name - The Sacred Palm - carries two meanings that anchor Jes’ work: the palms of her hands as conduits of healing, and the palm trees that surrounded her ancestors as symbols of resilience, grace, and strength. From that seed grew the foundation of her life’s work — an ever-deepening practice of touch, ritual, and remembrance. Jes’ path began through energy medicine, first as a Reiki Master, tarot reader, and spiritual medium, before moving into the broader and deeper waters of Ayurveda and Vedic studies. Her spiritual initiations opened her sensitivity to subtle energy, while her academic studies grounded that intuition in ancient systems of healing. She is an initiated priest in the Lukumi tradition (Omo Elegba) of Matanzas lineage. In 2022, Jes became a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) and began formal study at Sampoorna College of Ayurvedic and Vedic Studies, where she became an Ayurvedic Practitioner (2025) under the guidance of her teacher Anay Abreu. As part of her training, she traveled to India in 2023 to intern at Apathsree Ayurvedic Hospital in Kannur, Kerala under Dr. Prapanch and Dr. Asha, where she studied the preparation of herbal medicines. massage and other therapeutic techniques, and observed over 200 patient consultations. Her in depth studies and trainings include: Marma therapy, Jyotisa (Vedic astrology), pulse diagnosis, champi, and shirodhara. She also engaged in ongoing study of the Ashtanga Hridayam, one of the sacred Ayurvedic texts, under Dr. Asha, her teacher in India. In 2024, Jes became a licensed massage therapist in the state of Florida, studying under Edward Lucas. Her treatments blend Ayurvedic principles with Western therapeutic techniques to restore calm, balance, and connection between body, mind, and spirit. Her offerings include abhyanga (warm oil massage), champi (scalp, neck, and shoulder therapy), shirodhara (flowing oil, buttermilk or infusion scalp treatment), nasya (nasal irrigation), and basti, pizichilli, and picchu (localized warm oil therapies), as well as traditional Swedish massage with an Ayurvedic touch, and Vedic Thai massage.
